OneAnswerAI is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
OneAnswerAI's answers are generated by third-party AI models (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude), not by a human. AI-generated or AI-edited images are labeled "AI-generated" in the app and carry embedded provenance metadata (IPTC/XMP DigitalSourceType) when saved or shared. AI answers can be inaccurate; always verify important information independently.
Device Identifier: your device generates a random UUID (via the OS's secure random generator — not a hash derived from any personal identifier) for authentication and quota tracking. If you create an account, this identifier is linked to it. If you make a purchase or watch a rewarded ad, it (or your account identifier) is shared with RevenueCat and Google AdMob to validate purchases and deliver ads. You can use OneAnswerAI anonymously with this identifier alone.
Account Data (optional): If you choose to create an account, we collect and store your email address, an optional display name, and either a securely hashed password or, for social sign-in, an identifier provided by Apple or Google. Account data is used for authentication, account recovery, cross-device sync, and transactional emails (such as email verification and password reset). Creating an account is optional — the app is fully usable in anonymous mode.
Query Text: Your questions are sent to third-party AI providers for processing. The responses may be fused into a single optimized answer. To detect and fix problems, we keep a diagnostic log of each question and of the answer we returned (the text, whether it succeeded, the language, the app version and which AI models answered) for 30 days, after which it is deleted automatically. We keep it on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service working; only the developer can access it, and it is never used for advertising or to train AI models. If you have an account, your full conversations (titles and messages) are also synced to our servers for cross-device access.
Media Files: PDF documents and images you submit are sent to AI providers for analysis. For the same diagnostic purpose we keep a copy in private, access-restricted storage for 30 days, then delete it automatically. We never keep images or documents sent by users who declared an age between 13 and 17.
To manage quotas and subscriptions, we store the following data on our server (PostgreSQL hosted on Render):
If you use the app anonymously, no personally identifiable information is stored.
If you use the app anonymously, your chat history stays only on your device. If you create an account, your conversations, custom instructions, and preferences are also synced to our servers (see Server-Side Data above) so they are available across your devices.
Advertising (free tier only): The free tier shows rewarded video ads and banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob accesses your device's advertising identifier (the Advertising ID on Android and the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS) to deliver and measure ads. On iOS, before any tracking takes place we present Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt: if you allow tracking, AdMob may deliver personalized ads using your advertising identifier; if you decline (or have not granted permission), AdMob serves only non-personalized, contextual ads. Paid subscribers do not see ads. Apple and Google's advertising identifiers are user-resettable and can be limited from your device's privacy settings.
Diagnostics & Crash Reporting: We use Sentry to collect crash reports and basic diagnostic and performance data (such as error logs, device model, and operating system version) so we can detect and fix problems. This data is used solely to improve the app's stability and is not used for advertising.
Your queries, uploaded media, and certain technical data may be transmitted to the following third-party processors for the purposes described:
Data and training: On the free plan, your requests may pass through AI providers whose free tier (e.g. Google Gemini free tier) may use submitted data to improve their models. On paid plans, we use exclusively paid API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini on paid API key) under terms that do not allow training on your data. We do not train on your data.
Which specific provider or model is used at any given moment may vary based on your subscription tier and operational factors.
International Data Transfers: OneAnswerAI is developed in Italy (EU/EEA). Several processors we use — including OpenAI, Anthropic, Render, RevenueCat, Sentry, Resend, Expo, and Google/AdMob — are based in, or transfer data to, the United States or other countries outside the EEA. Where required, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (for processors certified under it) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect data transferred internationally.
OneAnswerAI offers auto-renewable subscriptions and consumable query packs, priced as shown in the App Store or Google Play (prices vary by region and may change). Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we do not collect or store any payment information. You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions, in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions, or from Settings > Manage Subscription inside the app.
All communications between the app and our servers use HTTPS encryption. Authentication tokens are stored securely in your device's Keychain.
Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated server-side data at any time from within the app (Settings > Account > Delete Account), or by contacting us at the email below. Deletion is irreversible and permanently removes your profile, conversations, preferences, custom instructions, feedback, content reports, receipts, and quota/subscription records; purchase records associated with your account (transaction identifiers and amounts only, personal identifiers removed) may be retained for accounting purposes. Diagnostic question logs and the attached files described above are deleted automatically after 30 days, and immediately if you delete your account; they are included in your data export.
Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA): if you are in the EEA, UK, or a US state with similar protections, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data (see above), and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights from within the app or by contacting us at the email below. If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
OneAnswerAI is intended for users 13 years of age or older. If you are in Italy, independent use requires you to be at least 14 years old; a user under 14 in Italy may use the app only with a parent's or legal guardian's confirmed consent. AI image-editing features are restricted to users 18 and older. The app asks for your age range during setup; we do not yet use an OS-level age-verification signal such as Apple's or Google's Age Signals API, so age is self-declared.
We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
