OneAnswerAI is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
Device Identifier: We generate a SHA256 hash of your device's unique identifier for authentication purposes. This hash is anonymous, non-reversible, and cannot be used to identify you personally. You can use OneAnswerAI anonymously with this identifier alone.
Account Data (optional): If you choose to create an account, we collect and store your email address, an optional display name, and either a securely hashed password or, for social sign-in, an identifier provided by Apple or Google. Account data is used for authentication, account recovery, cross-device sync, and transactional emails (such as email verification and password reset). Creating an account is optional — the app is fully usable in anonymous mode.
Query Text: Your questions are sent to third-party AI providers for processing. The responses may be fused into a single optimized answer. Queries are not permanently stored on our servers.
Media Files: PDF documents and images you submit are sent temporarily to AI providers for analysis. These files are not persisted on our servers and are discarded after processing.
To manage quotas and subscriptions, we store the following data on our server (PostgreSQL hosted on Render):
If you use the app anonymously, no personally identifiable information is stored. If you create an account, the only personal data we store is what is listed above.
Conversation History: Your chat history is stored only on your device using local storage. We do not have access to this data.
Advertising (free tier only): The free tier shows rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob accesses your device's advertising identifier (the Advertising ID on Android and the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS) to deliver and measure ads. On iOS, before any tracking takes place we present Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt: if you allow tracking, AdMob may deliver personalized ads using your advertising identifier; if you decline (or have not granted permission), AdMob serves only non-personalized, contextual ads. Paid subscribers do not see ads. Apple and Google's advertising identifiers are user-resettable and can be limited from your device's privacy settings.
Diagnostics & Crash Reporting: We use Sentry to collect crash reports and basic diagnostic and performance data (such as error logs, device model, and operating system version) so we can detect and fix problems. This data is used solely to improve the app's stability and is not used for advertising.

OneAnswerAI offers auto-renewable subscriptions (Weekly Pro at $5.99/week, Monthly Pro at $17.99/month) and consumable query packs. All payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.
All communications between the app and our servers use HTTPS encryption. Authentication tokens are stored securely in your device's Keychain.
Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated server-side data at any time from within the app (Settings > Account > Delete Account), or by contacting us at the email below. Deletion is irreversible and removes your account data, quota records, and synced content. Anonymous device records are automatically pruned after extended inactivity.
OneAnswerAI is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
